Why have you become a Myrmecologist?:
Lack of documented material on insects, especially ants, has been reason for no detailed studies on their ecology and communities in the central part of India. The disappearance of native species, advent of invasive species and changes brought about on habitats by anthropogenic action, weigh heavily upon biodiversity. This calls for a comprehensive study and hence I took up research in this field.
