Sri Lanka (Sinharaja Forest, Gilimale Forest, Pompakelle, Agricultural lands )
Research Projects:
1.Relative abundance and microhabitat of Aneuretus simoni (Emery) in the forest ("Pompakelle") associated with the city reservoir in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka Unpublished thesis as a partial requirement of B. Sc. (Special ) degree in Zoology. (2003).
2.Community composition of ant fauna in "Pompakelle", Gilimale forest, Sinharaja forest and selected tea, rubber and uncultivated fields in Ratnapura district and conservation status of Aneuretus simini Emery (Sri Lankan Relict ant). (On going project 2004 to 2008)

Why have you become a Myrmecologist?:
I am interested in ant fauna in forest and I have start my research work in 2002
Personal comments:
I wish that we will work together to conserve Earth's biodiversity
