NEW on antbase.net in September 2010:

We are very happy to be able to show you some more specimens from our collection in Automontage pictures. Enjoy our little addition to the genus Pheidole!

The remaining specimens from our loan from the Natural History Museum in London have been photographed! At this point a big thank you again to Suzanne Ryder at the BMNH and to all the people at the SYNTHESYS Project, who made our visit at the Museum possible. Enjoy the pictures!

We will start this month with pictures of two new Aenictus species. Aenictus stenocephalus and Aenictus vieti have been newly described by Weeyawat Jaitrong and Seiki Yamane in the last issue of the Japanese Journal of Systematic Entomology. Weeyawat Jaitrong was kind enough to provide us with the pictures from the original description so we can present them to you!
